Job summary

BRB Recruit is partnering with North West children’s residential homes to recruit a Registered Manager who can lead a home with a child-centered approach, safeguarding, and strong team development. You will shape culture, drive outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance.

We’re seeking candidates with 3+ years in children’s residential care, 2+ years in leadership, and relevant Level 4/5 qualifications. The role is permanent, full-time, in the North West, with salaries £55,000-£65,000 depending

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience working within children’s residential care.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
• Level 4 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or relevant equivalent).
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, or a genuine commitment to completing this.
• Experience working within the Ofsted regulatory framework.
• The ability to lead, support and develop a team.
• Experience managing safeguarding, care planning, staff performance and compliance.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, professionals and your team.
• A genuine commitment to creating a safe, stable and nurturing environment for children.

Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home

£55,000 - £65,000 depending on the home, experience and inspection history

North West | Permanent | Full-time

BRB are working with a range of children's residential homes across the North West who are looking for experienced Registered Managers to join them on their next chapter.

And no two opportunities are the same.

Some homes are established, have strong teams and a good track record- but need a new captain to take them forward.

Some are growing and need a manager who can build on what is already there.

And some are newer homes where you'll have the opportunity to be involved from the beginning, shape the culture, develop the team and really make the home your own.

There are opportunities with larger organisations, as well as smaller providers where you can have a more hands-on relationship with the people around you.

What we're looking for

We're looking for Registered Managers who genuinely put children and their teams at the centre of everything they do.

You’ll need:

• A mininmum of 3 years experience working within children's residential care
• A minimmum of 2 years leadership
• A Level 4 qualification in Children's Residential Care (or relevant equivalent)
• A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, or a genuine commitment to completing this
• Experience working within the Ofsted regulatory framework
• The ability to lead, support and develop a team
• Confidence managing safeguarding, care planning, staff performance and compliance
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, professionals and your team
• A genuine commitment to creating a safe, stable and nurturing environment for children

More than just a registration, being a Registered Manager isn't about sitting behind a desk and keeping the paperwork moving. It's about knowing the children who live in your home, understanding your team, setting the standards and creating an environment where everyone knows what good looks like.

You'll be expected to lead from the front, hold people accountable when needed, recognise good practice and make sure the children remain at the heart of every decision.
