Job summary

SCR Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a new and growing children’s residential service. You will create a warm, child-centred home and develop a skilled staff team, embedding a trauma-informed culture from day one.

You will oversee safeguarding, compliance, and strong outcomes for children, while collaborating with therapeutic support to tailor care to each child’s needs. This role is on-site and mission-driven.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager in children's residential care.
• Proven track record with Ofsted inspections.
• Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification or equivalent.
• Experience leading, developing and motivating a team.
• Understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
• Passion for improving outcomes for children.

Were looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to join a new and growing childrens residential service.

This is an opportunity for someone who genuinely cares about childrens residential care and wants to play a key role in creating a home where children feel safe, valued, supported and able to thrive.

The service has a strong focus on therapeutic care, emotional wellbeing and enrichment, with the belief that children deserve more than just good care they deserve positive experiences, opportunities and people around them who genuinely believe in them.

The role

As Registered Manager, youll have a key role in shaping the home, developing the team and embedding a strong culture from the outset.

Youll be responsible for:

About you

Youll be an experienced Registered Manager who understands the responsibility that comes with leading a home and, most importantly, genuinely cares about the children and young people you support.

To be considered, youll need:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care
• A good track record with Ofsted inspections
• Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
• A relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management, or equivalent
• Experience leading, developing and motivating a team
• A strong understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge
• A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children
