Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential service in Southampton, Hampshire. You will oversee safe, high-quality care, develop a strong staff team, and drive positive outcomes for young people.

The role requires Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, 2 years’ residential childcare experience, an enhanced DBS, and a Full UK driving licence. Salary is £43,150 to £47,700 per annum, permanent full-time.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe.
• Minimum 2 years’ residential childcare experience (within the last 5 years), plus supervising/managing care staff.
• Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence (with access to a vehicle for work).

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home, ensuring consistently high standards of care and safeguarding
• Maintaining compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards, including audits, reporting, and quality improvement
• Recruiting, supervising, coaching, and performance-managing staff to build a stable, motivated, high-performing team
