Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Service Manager to oversee a supported accommodation service for children and young people in Winchester. You will ensure Ofsted registration compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance while leading a team of care staff.

The role requires Level 5 Diploma or willingness to work towards, 3+ years in residential settings, strong leadership and communication, driving improvements and participating in on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 5 Diploma or willingness to work towards this.
• At least 3 years' experience in residential child care.
• Proven experience as Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Manager within supported accommodation or residential care for children and young people.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Leading, managing, and developing a team of support workers to maintain high standards of practice.

• Overseeing care and support planning, safeguarding, and risk management for young people.

• Managing budgets and resources effectively within the service.
• Driving continuous improvement and leading preparations for Ofsted inspections.
• Participating in an on‑call rota to support the service as needed.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Service Manager to oversee supported accommodation services in Winchester. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-quality, Ofsted-registered service that positively impacts young people's lives. As the Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care, safeguarding, and support, while inspiring and developing your team.
