Job summary

Sgscare is seeking a Registered Manager for a 4-bed children’s residential home in Ramsgate, Kent. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensuring safe and supportive care for 8–17 year olds with EBD, while meeting regulatory requirements and driving outcomes.

You will oversee safeguarding, care planning, and a dedicated staff team, with opportunities for professional development and a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a children's residential setting and senior leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and Quality Standards.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

The Home

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a 4-bed Children's Residential Home supporting children and young people aged 8–17 years with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the home's leadership, regulatory compliance, quality of care, safeguarding and team development, ensuring children receive safe, stable and nurturing care that enables them to achieve positive outcomes.

You will be confident in leading a team, driving quality standards and creating a positive culture where both children and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the home.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home.
• Level 3 Children's & Young People's Workforce.
• QCF Level 5 Leadership & Management, or willingness to work towards the qualification.
• Good working knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted expectations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
