Job description

Job Title: Registered Manager

Location: East Huntspill, Highbridge

Salary: £46,202.89 per annum with potential to earn up to £53,402.89 through bonuses

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent

Service Users: Children and young people

Qualifications Required:
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to complete it
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a role relevant to children’s residential care
  • At least 1 year’s experience supervising and managing staff within a care setting
  • Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and child protection procedures
The Home:

Our client is recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established children’s residential home in the rural setting of East Huntspill, Highbridge.

You will be responsible for leading the day‑to‑day operation of the home, ensuring children receive high‑quality, individualised care while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, compliance and regulatory practice. You will also develop and inspire a committed staff team, creating a reflective, supportive and child‑focused culture.

The home benefits from ongoing support from an experienced Responsible Individual and Head of Care, providing regular guidance, leadership and operational support.
