Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in children's residential care within the last 5 years.
  • 1 year experience leading or supervising in a care home environment.

Your role and responsibilities as Registered Manager

This role will be best suited to an experienced Registered Manager who enjoys mentoring others and takes a considerate and progressive approach to leadership.

You will be able to create a family environment for young people in line with our therapeutic parenting ethos, which encourages development through a warm and nurturing approach.

With the full support of our experienced senior management team, care professionals, and in-house psychology team, you will oversee all aspects of the home's operation. You will promote the development of a high-quality, stimulating, and educationally rich environment in which children and young people can thrive.

What we offer you

Your starting salary is between £44,982.00 to £50,605.00 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience, qualifications, and training.

  • Your work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility can be considered.
  • You will receive a 10 % discretionary bonus per annum.

Essential qualities that we look for,

  • Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification or Level 3 Residential Childcare.
  • Two years’ experience, within the past five years, working in children’s residential care,
  • One year’s experience within the past five years, leading or supervising employees in a care home environment,
  • Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills,
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills,
  • A willingness to attain your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England)
  • Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to safeguarding our children and young people,
  • Exceptional knowledge of safer recruitment practices
  • Proficient IT skills and experience in using Microsoft packages,
  • A full, valid UK driver’s license

Desirable qualities that we look for include,

  • Qualified or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England)
  • Knowledge of Therapeutic Parenting
