Job summary

Care Support Empower in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a Registered Manager to lead our supported living services in Luton and Leighton Buzzard. You will oversee care plans, supervise staff, coordinate rosters, and ensure person-centered support that promotes independence and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing care or supported living services, with strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with people supported, families, and external partners.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, including ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
• Level 5 Leadership qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in risk assessment, care planning, and quality assurance processes within a regulated care environment.
• Ability to work flexibly, including participation in an on-call rota, and to support 24-hour service requirements.
• Proficiency with basic IT systems for record-keeping, reporting, and communication.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to empowering individuals to live as independently as possible.
• Previous experience working with adults in supported living or community-based services is highly desirable.

Role Description

The Registered Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and delivery of high-quality care within supported living services. This full-time, on-site role in Luton and Leighton Buzzard includes overseeing care plans, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring that individuals receive person-centered support that promotes independence and community inclusion. The role involves supervising and developing the staff team, conducting regular supervision and performance reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Registered Manager will ensure compliance with CQC standards, manage audits and inspections, maintain accurate records, and handle safeguarding, health and safety, and incident management. The position also includes liaising with families, local authorities, and other professionals, managing budgets and resources, and contributing to service development and strategic planning.
