Job summary

CareTech Community Services Ltd seeks an experienced Registered Manager to oversee an Adult Residential Service in Birmingham. You will lead staff, ensure CQC registration, and maintain high-quality person-centered care across multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires senior/managerial experience in learning disabilities, mental health, or physical disabilities, and a Level 5 or equivalent vocational qualification. A strong commitment to safeguarding and equality is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and/or physical disabilities.
• Senior/managerial experience in the sector in a managerial role.
• Knowledge of current health and social care legislation, including the Mental Health Act.
• Demonstrable evidence of supporting people in a person-centered way.

Job description

We have an opening for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee our Adult Residential Service. Within these services, we support individuals requiring various levels of support around both learning difficulties, mental health, and other diagnoses. We are providing individuals with practical and emotional support, enabling them to have fulfilled lives, gain further independence, and achieve positive outcomes. You will need to have proven experience of working in a similar environment and position. Care Manager Responsibilities

• Achieve and maintain registration with CQC
• To be responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and reviews of the practices and systems to ensure that they meet and exceed the requirements of the service.
• To maintain effective communication and liaison with staff, service users, families, and others while respecting appropriate confidentiality
• To promote the company values
• To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
• To deliver a high level of quality support to Service Users
• To work as part of a team to provide high-quality care
• To recruit, manage, retain, and train staff both individually and as team members
  Previous experience of working with people who have learning disabilities, mental health issues, and/or Physical Disabilities, and senior/managerial experience in the sector in a managerial role
• Relevant professional qualification (Level 5) / accredited vocational qualification or working towards
• Experience of managing budgets and budget control
• An understanding of and commitment to providing Equal Opportunities
