Job summary

Sgscare is seeking a Registered Manager for a small, privately owned children’s residential home in Chorley. The 3-bed service supports children and young people who have experienced trauma, focusing on safety, stability, and social inclusion.

You will lead a hands-on, collaborative team and work closely with senior leadership to drive positive outcomes, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance; salary £55,000–£65,000 with bonus, permanent, full-time.

Qualifications

• Level 3/5 diplomas in relevant health and social care leadership.
• Minimum 2 years’ Ofsted Registered Manager experience.
• Proven track record of achieving satisfactory or better inspections.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and develop residential staff.
• Lead, supervise and develop care teams.
• Ensure training compliance and performance.
• Review referrals and assess placement suitability.
• Collaborate with local authorities and external professionals.

Service: Children’s Residential Home Service Users: Children and young people who have experienced severe trauma and adversity

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People), Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent) Experience Required: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager, including achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ inspection outcomes

The Home: Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutically informed children’s residential home focused on rebuilding young lives through safety, stability, and social inclusion. Number of beds: 3 beds registered for 2 Children.

You will have proven experience leading an Ofsted-regulated children’s home, with a strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding, and team leadership.

You will be confident in:

• Recruiting and onboarding residential staff
• Leading, supervising, and developing care teams
• Managing training compliance and performance
