Registered Manager - Step Down Mental Health Service
Location: Farnborough, West London
Salary: 40,000+ DOE
Hours: Full-time
Are you an experienced Registered Manager passionate about trauma-informed mental health care? We're recruiting for a pivotal role to lead a brand-new, high-spec supported living service for adults (18-40) with complex mental health needs, including forensic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
This step-down service features 5 self-contained flats and delivers highly regulated, person-centred support, helping individuals rebuild independence in a trauma-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the service, ensuring CQC compliance and outstanding, evidence-based care.
Lead a dedicated team, fostering a trauma-informed culture that prioritises safety, dignity, and recovery.
Manage risks and behaviours linked to forensic histories, offending, or complex trauma with proven strategies.
Develop care plans, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., mental health professionals, social services).
Ensure the service meets regulatory standards, including audits, staff training, and safeguarding protocols.
Balance hands-on leadership with operational duties (rotas, budgets, reporting).
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience as a Registered Manager in mental health services, preferably with forensic/trauma-informed care.
In-depth understanding of CQC frameworks and compliance in a supported living or similar setting.
Strong leadership skills who's able to motivate teams and manage high-risk behaviours compassionately.
Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent).
