The Registered Manager will run a warm, safe and supportive 4-bed children's home in Derby, leading the team and ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. Salary: £51,500 – £60,000 per annum (depending on skills, qualifications and experience), plus a £7,500 welcome bonus
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, with participation in the on‑call system

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce, and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willing to undertake this as part of the role). Full UK driving licence.
Experience Required: Extensive experience in children's residential care management. Experience in an LD/EBD home is desirable.

You will also complete monthly Regulation 45 reports, respond to Regulation 44 visits and lead the home through Ofsted inspections. You will work alongside therapeutic colleagues so that care and therapy are properly integrated. You will liaise closely with local authorities, schools, health and other professionals. The role may involve occasional travel within the UK.
You will bring a strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures. You will also need excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, and a real commitment to a nurturing, empowering environment.
