Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a nursing/residential home in the Thetford area. You will oversee staff and operations to deliver dignified, person‑centred care while meeting regulatory standards.

The role offers a permanent, full‑time position from 9am–5pm, 40 hours weekly, with a generous benefits package, including pension, enhanced holiday pay, paid breaks, induction and training, career development support, wellbeing resources, and DBS/NMC PIN renewal

Qualifications

Must have previous experience managing a nursing/residential home.
Knowledge of CQC standards and striving for Outstanding.

Responsibilities

Manage staff and resources to ensure dignified, fulfilling resident lives.
Collaborate with Clinical Lead and care/hospitality teams to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance.
Report to regional Operations Manager; lead the home's vision and continuous improvement toward Outstanding.
Liaise with residents, families, professionals and multidisciplinary teams in a complex managerial role.

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Home Manager to manage an exceptional nursing home based in the Thetford, Ipswich area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This nursing home provides a safe and stimulated environment where 24 hour qualified staff as well as a highly skilled care staff are here to assist with all residents' requirements

As the Home Manager your key responsibilities include:

To manage staff and resources so that each resident can enjoy a dignified and fulfilling life
You'll be working closely with your Clinical Lead and the wider healthcare and hospitality teams to ensure the quality of individual service and care consistently meets high standards and those of our external regulators
Reporting to the regional Operations Manager, you will create and lead a vision for the home to ensure a philosophy of continuous improvement, encouraging and supporting the home's journey to 'outstanding'
Whilst managing people and processes, being a Home Manager is a complex, influential and highly rewarding role involving close liaison with residents, their families, professional contacts and multi-disciplinary teams

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

A good working knowledge, with a proven record of CQC standards and can work towards achieving Outstanding
Good communication skills and can maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors
A proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home
Enthusiasm and passion for developing high level of person-centred care
Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service
