Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover South London, Surrey, Sussex & Kent. You will sell liquid applied waterproofing systems for roofs, walkways, balconies, car parks and infrastructure, focusing on gaining specifications with building surveyors, local authorities, consultants and architects.

The role involves new business development, managing a turnover base and growing it further across refurbishment and new build projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Must have sales experience in building envelope or roofing.
• Experience gaining specifications with architects, surveyors, authorities, and specifiers.
• Ability to hunt for new projects while maintaining relationships.

Responsibilities

• Field sales: sell liquid applied waterproofing systems for roofs, walkways, balconies, car parks and infrastructure.

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Liquid Applied Waterproofing Systems will involve:

• Field sales position selling a range of liquid applied waterproofing systems for application such as roofs, walkways, balconies, terraces, car parks, roads and infrastructure
• Majority of your time gaining specifications with predominantly building surveyors, local authorities, consultants, architects, health authorities and other major specifiers
• The remaining portion of your time will be spent following projects through to completion with specialist quality waterproofing contractors & roofing sub-contractors and installers
• Majority of your time will be spent generating new business relationships
• Inheriting a territory currently turning over £1.3m looking to grow to £1m in the next few years
• Focusing on both refurbishment and new build projects
• Typical projects include cark parks, roads, hotels, healthcare, education, stadiums, facilities, retail

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Liquid Applied Waterproofing Systems with:

• Must have building envelope or roofing sales experience
• Would consider a field technician or waterproofing contractor background
• Ideally have specification experience with architects, building surveyors, surveyors, consultants and specifiers OR have experience selling to main contractors,
• ideally on site construction experience
• Ability to hunt for new projects whilst also building and retaining relationships along the way
• Ability to sell a technical solution rather than on price
