Role Purpose

To drive profitable growth of Mars Horse Care UK products by increasing distribution and availability, fostering sustainable relationships with trade partners, including retail accounts and wholesalers, on a fixed-term basis.

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven track record in field sales or account management
  • Equine knowledge
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in small teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
  • Numerate, financially literate, with a commercial focus
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to lift 20kg bags of horse feed occasionally
Key Responsibilities
  • Consult and sell nutritional products to professional and leisure horse owners, providing tailored nutritional solutions
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key customers
  • Maximize distribution and availability of products across retail outlets in the region
  • Educate trade partners on store management, stock control, and product knowledge
  • Achieve regional targets for volume, revenue, and product mix, focusing on profitable growth
  • Participate in sales management processes, including setting goals, KPIs, and best practices
