Gold Group is seeking a Regional Operations Manager (BMS) in Leeds to lead digital services and energy contracts, ensuring high-quality BMS delivery and KPI performance across hospitals, schools, government buildings, offices and retail spaces.

You will manage a team of BMS engineers and partners, review contracts, pursue growth opportunities, and ensure compliance with safety and financial processes while delivering SLAs and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree level education or qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical).
• Experience managing BMS services at large scale and across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of KPIs, SLAs and contract delivery.
• Experience with digital services and energy projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital service delivery across all sites in the portfolio and manage 15–20 engineers/partners.
• Conduct regular contract reviews with customers and upsell where possible.
• Maintain P&L responsibility between £1m–£3m and ensure SLA compliance.
• Oversee safety, legal, and contract compliance and liaise with PMO.
• Drive growth opportunities and secure new contracts aligned to targets.

Brief

Regional Operations Manager needed for a large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Leeds who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Regional Operations Manager that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of Digital Services (Digital & Energy), contract reviews and operational delivery of contract KPI's and finances.

The successful candidate would need to have the relevant qualifications i.e. Degree level education, or Qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical) alongside a keen interest in of BMS and digital services. If you have experience or exposure to Trend, Tridium, Siemens etc. that would be a plus!

This Regional Operations Manager role sits within Digital Services (Digital & Energy) and is responsible for all elements of BMS and digital service within their portfolio. This role is there to ensure our teams are managed efficiently to provide an effective and high-quality technical service to customers and colleagues. Our Managers continually review team performance, contracts, growth opportunities & innovation while ensuring customer satisfaction in line with SLAs. Contracts in each portfolio include:

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Regional Operations Manager will include:

• Responsibility for digital service provision across all sites in their portfolio
• Day to Day Management of BMS Service Engineers and Service Partners (approx. 15-20 persons)
• Managing specialist subcontractors
• Regular contract reviews with customers and senior clients, upselling services where possible
• Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts
• Technical, Finance, Commercial understanding and awareness
• Operational delivery of contract KPI's - meeting SLAs
• Management of statutory, legal, safety and contract compliance standards
• Stakeholder engagement and liaising with PMO
• P&L responsibility between £1m - £3m
• Travelling to all sites in the portfolio to undertake service reviews, safety visits and meet teams
• Ensuring engineers work efficiently, that tasks are planned efficiently to balance all work types while meeting SLAs for attendance
• Ensuring our teams meet the required training and operational quality standards
• Compliance with financial processes and meeting budget targets
• Setting and reviewing team objectives to ensure teams are aligned to company strategic goals
• Actively participates in securing new growth opportunities and secures new contracts in line with targets

What experience you need to be the successful Regional Operations Manager:

• Degree level education, or, Qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical)
• Relevant, evidencable work experience to a similar level
• Must be able to obtain and retain SC/CTC clearance
• Experience of managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services on a large scale
• Thorough working knowledge of the BMS industry and systems our teams may encounter (ie, Trend, Tridium, Siemens etc)
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and other M&E systems
• Experience within a variety of contract environments
• P&L Responsibility with a track record of success
• Strong client focus and clear, concise communication skills
• Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts in financial terms
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with the team, clients, support functions and other departments to optimise service levels
• Working knowledge of CAFM/Other Systems
