Job summary

South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority (SYMCA) is seeking a strategic leader for the Homelessness and Supported Housing Manager role in Sheffield. The post drives regional homelessness prevention, leads the delivery programme and ensures devolved funding aligns with outcomes across South Yorkshire.

The role reports to the Head of Housing Policy and Strategy and requires managing a team, stakeholder engagement, and developing partnerships with Local Authorities and housing providers to

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of homelessness from sector experience.
• Experience in developing and delivering funding programmes.
• Strong partnership approach to maximise homelessness prevention outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the Homelessness and Supported Housing Delivery Programme and regional framework.
• Lead the Homelessness and Supported Housing Team.
• Develop understanding of homelessness across SYMCA and its relation to devolved functions.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities, VCFS, public sector partners and housing providers to prevent homelessness.
