Job summary

South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority (SYMCA) is recruiting a Housing Growth Policy Officer to help drive housing growth across South Yorkshire. You will support the Housing and Infrastructure Team, develop evidence, briefs, and reports, and collaborate with local authorities, Homes England, developers and partners to progress strategic housing priorities.

You will provide policy advice, maintain strong partnerships, and contribute to SYMCA's Housing Strategy while aligning housing growth

Qualifications

• In-depth working knowledge of housing policy.
• Understanding of housing growth policy areas and devolution.
• Good project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of SYMCA's housing growth ambitions, including 9,000 new affordable homes over five years.
• Lead on policy relating to housing growth and contribute to SYMCA's Housing Strategy.
• Provide project management support for business cases for public sector investment in new housing growth schemes.
