Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training across our region of homes and hospitals. This home-based role involves travel around Banbury, Tewkesbury and Oxford, ensuring staff are confident and compliant with care standards.

You will plan calendars, deliver practical training, maintain trainee files and support managers in implementing development plans. A driving licence and care-sector knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 or equivalent required.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience in social care.
• Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector.
• 2 years' training experience.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training against Barchester objectives and training statistics.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars.
• Ensure employee training files are up to date.
• Observe workplace practice and coaching.
• Arrange induction paperwork and assign a buddy before start date.
• Maintain regular contact with new team members and support their development.
• Attend meetings and conferences external to the home when required.
• Promote learning opportunities offered by Barchester.
