Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a Regional Grounds Maintenance Operative to deliver essential maintenance across water treatment sites and associated land in Oswestry area. You will perform grounds maintenance, vegetation and building upkeep, supporting site maintenance plans to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires practical grounds maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence (Cat B), and the ability to work outdoors across multiple sites with robust safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in grounds maintenance and related tasks.
• Full UK driving licence (Cat B) required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake grounds maintenance and vegetation management across multiple sites.
• Carry out physically demanding outdoor tasks with exposure to environmental hazards.
• Operate and perform daily checks on a range of plant and equipment.
• Record work completed in the corporate system.
• Support training of new starters from youth/employment programmes.
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and company policies.
• Identify site standards improvements and winter work during visits.
