Job summary
United Utilities is seeking a Regional Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team, delivering essential site maintenance and recovery activities across both operational and non-operational land. Your work will help ensure our Water and Wastewater Treatment sites remain safe, well-maintained, and operating to the highest standards.
You will perform grounds maintenance, vegetation management, soft landscaping, arboriculture tasks, and building maintenance, supporting the delivery of our site
Qualifications
- Experience in grounds maintenance and related tasks.
- Ability to operate common grounds machinery safely.
- Valid UK driving licence (Cat B) required.
- Desirable pesticide handling qualifications listed in job post.
Responsibilities
- Undertake grounds maintenance, vegetation management and soft landscaping on multiple sites.
- Carry out building maintenance and adapt tasks to site needs.
- Operate and check machinery and vehicles daily.
- Record completed work in corporate systems and follow safety rules.
- Contribute to training of new starters and youths programs.
- Comply with health, safety and company policies.
