Job summary

United Utilities Group PLC in the North West of England is recruiting a Regional Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain and recover sites across both operational and non-operational land, ensuring safety and high standards at wastewater treatment works.

You will perform grounds maintenance, vegetation management and related tasks, operate site machinery, follow safety procedures, and contribute to building and landscape upkeep while supporting local stakeholders and youth training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, vegetation management and building maintenance.
• Ability to operate a range of grounds maintenance machinery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Undertake grounds maintenance, vegetation management and building maintenance on multiple sites.
• Carry out physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments with safety considerations.
• Operate and maintain a range of plant and equipment and perform daily checks.
• Record work on corporate systems and contribute to training of new starters.
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and company policies.
