Job summary
United Utilities is seeking a Regional Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team, delivering maintenance across operational and non-operational land including Water Treatment sites. You will perform grounds maintenance, vegetation management, soft landscaping, and building maintenance to support site plans and safety standards.
You will operate a range of machinery, complete daily checks, and contribute to training and compliance while maintaining high service levels across multiple sites
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence – Cat B.
- Experience in grounds maintenance and building maintenance.
- Ability to operate grounds machinery and power tools.
- Desirable: PA1 pesticide handling certification.
- Desirable: PA6/PA6INJ/PA6W pesticide applications.
- Desirable: NPTC Wood Chipper Operations and safe use of pole pruners.
Responsibilities
- Carry out grounds maintenance and vegetation management across multiple sites.
- Operate and perform daily checks on plant, vehicles, and tools.
- Record work on corporate system and support training of new starters.
- Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and company policy.
- Identify site standards improvements and winter work during visits.
