Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is seeking a Funeral Service Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Southend-on-Sea. You will lead a regional team across 7–15 funeral homes, ensuring regulatory compliance, high standards of client care, and strong community relationships.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with a 37.5-hour week and a salary of £30,000-£36,000. You’ll engage with colleagues at all levels and oversee service delivery, with FCA-regulated training and mandatory pre-employment

• Experience leading funeral directors and arrangers across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team across your region (7–15 funeral homes).

• Oversee resource allocation and coverage for homes without trained colleagues.
• Handle client complaints and inspect premises for compliance and presentation.
