Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in the United Kingdom is seeking a Funeral Service Manager to oversee operations across 7 to 15 funeral homes within your region. This 12-month fixed term contract offers a competitive salary and 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities spanning leadership, compliance, and service delivery.

You’ll lead funeral directors and arrangers, build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams across multiple funeral homes.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to regulatory standards.
• Comfort with direct contact with the deceased is required.
• Ability to review management information for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of funeral directors and arrangers across your region.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to deliver high standards of service.
• Inspire teams to meet client care standards aligned with business goals.
• Analyse management information to drive improvements.
• Engage with the community to promote services and unite communities.
• Ensure certified colleagues are supported to maintain competency.
• Ensure non-certified colleagues operate within regulatory guidelines.
• Manage resources across the area and ensure coverage in homes.
• Handle client complaints and perform inspections to maintain standards.
