Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an Operations Manager (Non-PFI) to lead FM operations across a regional portfolio. You will drive performance, manage budgets, and ensure compliance, safety, and client satisfaction while supporting people and process improvements.

Ideally based in the West Midlands or surrounding areas, the role requires decisive leadership, strong financial governance, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver contracted outcomes and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading facilities management or service-driven operations.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with budget responsibility.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
• Thorough understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of a regional portfolio of contracts.
• Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met or exceeded across service lines.
• Identify and implement improvements to drive efficiency and value.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth contract delivery.
• Manage regional budgets and control costs while achieving targets.
• Lead safety and compliance across contracts and promote a strong safety culture.
• Develop and mentor Contract Managers and foster a performance-driven team.
• Support contract retention and growth through effective stakeholder engagement.
