Job summary

United Utilities is seeking an Instrumentation Field Service Engineer to diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance, and ensure instrumentation and control equipment operate reliably across our sites in Crewe. This hands-on role involves collaborating with process, operations and engineering teams to support continuous improvement and safe operations.

You will routinely calibrate and repair flow, pressure, level, and analytical instrumentation, read technical drawings and P&IDs, and maintain

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical, Control or Mechatronics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with industrial/process instrumentation or similar.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding, repairing and calibrating instrumentation including flow, pressure, level and analytical equipment.
• Completing reactive and planned maintenance across the Crewe region.
• Supporting installations, upgrades and project teams with technical expertise.
• Providing high-quality digital work records and documentation.
• Working safely and professionally across all sites.
