Job summary
UNITED UTILITIES GROUP PLC is seeking a hands-on Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our production team. You will maintain, fault-find and improve critical water and wastewater assets across our sites, ensuring compliance and reliability.
A typical day includes fault finding on three-phase pumps, planned maintenance on control panels and supporting automation improvements with contractor works. The role offers a company van, standby rota participation, and a comprehensive benefits package
Qualifications
- Essential electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3)
- Experience in industrial electrical maintenance and fault finding
- Willingness to participate in standby rota and travel to sites
Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical works
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Working on industrial electrical systems across operational sites
- Supporting capital and operational project work
- Reading electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Collaborating with electrical contractors and internal teams
- Recording maintenance activities and complying with safety procedures
