Job summary
United Utilities is seeking an Instrumentation Field Service Engineer to diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance, and ensure instrumentation and control equipment operate reliably. The role involves working across sites within the Crewe region, collaborating with process, operations and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Instrumentation/Control, strong diagnostic skills, experience with industrial instrumentation, and a valid UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Instrumentation, Electrical, Control or Mechatronics
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with industrial/process instrumentation or similar
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals and P&IDs
- Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities
- Fault-finding, repairing and calibrating instrumentation including flow, pressure, level and analytical equipment
- Completing reactive and planned maintenance across the Crewe region
- Supporting installations, upgrades and project teams with technical expertise
- Providing high-quality digital work records and documentation
- Working safely and professionally across all sites
