Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a Regional Engineering Manager to lead a team of field-based Engineers and support services across the region. You will drive a continuous improvement program focused on safety, people, quality, productivity and asset availability.

You will oversee repair priorities, regulatory compliance, and training initiatives while coordinating schedules and resources to meet customer SLA targets.

Qualifications

• Exceptional leadership and people management experience.
• Proven experience in large-scale operations management.
• Strong planning and scheduling capabilities.
• Financial awareness including budgeting and cost control.
• Ability to source and analyse data to drive decisions.
• Experience in the power rental sector.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality and availability of products with optimum stock levels.
• Prioritise repairs and ensure assets comply with health and safety regulations.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and Centres of Excellence development.
• Drive technical skills development and apprenticeship programmes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and complete statutory training.
• Oversee field service planning and allocate engineers across the region.
• Manage breakdown responses, appoint engineers cost-efficiently, and coordinate third parties when needed.
• Maintain call logging and OOH rotas for breakdowns and services.
