Veolia in Portsmouth is seeking a Regional Development Manager to drive growth in the £100k+ market, promoting Veolia services and sustainability across a diverse customer base. You will lead tendering efforts, coordinate with regional sales, and ensure customer requirements shape project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management and Veolia service portfolio.
• Exposure to tender management and bid processes.
• Understanding of public sector procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Take strategic responsibility for securing new business within the £100k+ market sector of a Veolia territory, supporting the Regional Sales Team growth targets.
• Establish foundations for long-lasting profitable business with large, high-profile customers across multiple industries.
• Promote Veolia's services while helping customers achieve sustainability goals.
• Act as Project Manager for tendering exercises and be the main reference through the process.
• Brief and align operational stakeholders with customer requirements during Bid/No Bid and subsequent decisions.
• Define and develop waste strategies/solutions that promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
• Identify industry innovations with potential applications for customers' sustainability objectives.

Regional Development Manager

Salary: £45,000 per annum plus bonus, company car/cash allowance and pension

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Location: Portsmouth

What you’ll be doing;

• To take strategic responsibility for securing new business gains within the £100k and above market sector of a Veolia territory in support of the Regional Sales Team growth targets.
• To establish foundations for long lasting and profitable business with large and high profile customers within the territory across a cross section of industries and sectors.
• Promote the range of services provided by Veolia whilst supporting customers achieve their sustainability goals.
• Act as Project Manager for all contact tendering exercises, acting as the point of reference throughout the process.
• Ensure the operational stakeholders are fully briefed and understanding of the customer requirements as part of the Bid/No Bid process and subsequent commercial decisions.
• Define and develop waste strategies/solutions for customers which promote sustainability and reduced environmental impact.
• Identify industry innovation which may have practical applications with prospective (and existing) customers aligned to their sustainability objectives.
