Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to provide strategic leadership for a broad portfolio of operational and transformational cancer improvement programmes within the East Midlands Cancer Alliance.

Based at County Hall, Leicester with hybrid working, you will work with NHS England, Integrated Care Boards and provider Trusts to deliver sustainable improvements in cancer services, enhance performance and secure better patient outcomes across eight

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Significant experience leading large-scale transformation programmes within the NHS or similarly complex organisations.
• Experience in governance, programme delivery and operational performance.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience developing long-term strategic plans and translating policy into delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across a portfolio of operational and transformational programmes.
• Oversee governance, delivery milestones and assurance across multiple organisations.
• Develop and implement performance improvement strategies for cancer services.
• Engage with NHS England, Integrated Care Boards and provider trusts.
