Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for a Regional Technical Sales Manager to cover South Wales to Cornwall, with hybrid/remote UK working. You will identify refurbishment opportunities in commercial/industrial buildings, develop tailored roofing and building-envelope solutions, and drive new business across a growing UK market.

The role requires knowledge of roofing, cladding and refurbishment, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience with roofing, cladding, facades or building-envelope refurbishments on commercial/industrial buildings.
• Strong understanding of how refurbishment projects are identified, scoped and delivered.
• Ability to spot opportunities in existing buildings and convert them into viable projects.
• Strong commercial awareness; comfortable discussing scope, costs, value and proposals.
• Confident in building relationships with customers, contractors and building owners.
• Proactive business development, not relying solely on existing accounts or inquiries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand technical construction products and solutions without being an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify commercial/industrial buildings with roofing, cladding or building-envelope refurbishment requirements.
• Develop new business opportunities across the refurbishment market within existing stock.
• Engage with building owners, end users, contractors and other decision-makers to assess needs.
• Identify opportunities to provide roof replacement, refurbishment and building-envelope solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop technically and commercially viable refurbishment proposals.
• Lead from identification through survey, scope, proposal and negotiation.
• Introduce energy-focused building solutions alongside core refurbishment offerings where suitable.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of refurbishment projects across your territory.
• Build relationships with contractors and industry partners to generate opportunities.
