Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is supporting a leading global manufacturer in the construction sector with the recruitment of a Regional Technical Sales Manager to drive refurbishment and building-envelope solutions across the South Wales to Cornwall corridor.

This field-based role requires understanding roofing, cladding and building-envelope projects while developing technical and commercial proposals, building a strong pipeline, and engaging with stakeholders across the UK market.

Qualifications

• Experience in refurbishment/building-envelope projects for commercial/industrial buildings.
• Strong understanding of how refurbishment projects are identified, scoped, developed and delivered.
• Ability to identify opportunities in existing buildings and convert to viable projects.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience discussing scope, costs, value and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify commercial/industrial buildings with roofing, cladding or building-envelope refurbishment needs.
• Develop new business opportunities across the refurbishment market in ageing building stock.
• Engage with building owners, end users, contractors, surveyors, consultants and other decision-makers to understand needs.
• Identify opportunities for roof replacement, roofing and cladding refurbishment and building-envelope solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop technical and commercial refurbishment solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial engagement through survey, scope, proposal and negotiation.
• Introduce energy-focused building solutions alongside core refurbishment offerings where appropriate.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of refurbishment projects across your territory.
• Develop relationships with contractors and industry partners to generate opportunities.
• Provide customers with technical and commercial guidance drawing on internal expertise.
• Negotiate commercial agreements while protecting project margin and profitability.
• Coordinate with Technical, Commercial, Manufacturing and Operational teams through project lifecycle.
• Monitor market activity to identify areas with refurbishment potential.
• Maintain CRM records, pipelines, forecasts and reporting.
• Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events.
