An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced insurance broking professional to join a leading, well-established insurance broker as a Regional Broking Director in the Midlands.

This is a high-profile, regional role for someone who can make a genuine impact, combining strong market relationships, technical broking expertise and the ability to lead complex client placements. This is not simply a role overseeing existing processes; the business is looking for someone who can raise the bar, influence performance across a region and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.

The Role

You will work closely with account directors and regional teams on significant corporate and complex insurance programmes, bringing the technical knowledge, commercial awareness and market influence needed to secure the right outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating complex, high-value insurance placements across the region, ensuring the right strategy is in place from initial discussions through to successful placement.
• Building strong relationships with insurers and key market contacts to negotiate effectively, unlock opportunities and secure the best possible terms for clients.
• Working alongside account directors in senior client meetings, providing expert broking advice and demonstrating confidence when dealing with substantial and sophisticated insurance programmes.
• Shaping technically complex insurance solutions, ensuring programmes are structured effectively around each client's requirements.
• Supporting and influencing regional broking teams, helping colleagues deliver consistently high standards of service and technical excellence.
• Taking ownership of challenging cases, bringing together the market, technical, commercial and sales elements to drive successful outcomes.
• Playing a visible role within the region, strengthening the broker's market presence and helping drive continued growth.

About You

You will be an established senior broking professional with the credibility, technical ability and commercial mindset to operate at a regional level.
You'll ideally bring:

A personal book of business or demonstrable ability to generate new opportunities would be advantageous, although the overall value you can bring to the region will be the key consideration.
The role is office-based and regional in nature, suited to someone who enjoys being close to clients, colleagues and the insurance market.
