Job summary

National Grid in Leicester is seeking a proactive, organised administrator to join the Refurbishment Centre team. In this hands‑on role you’ll provide planning, procurement and administrative support to deliver refurbishment activities safely, efficiently and on schedule across workshop and site operations.

This on‑site role requires attendance five days per week and a full UK driving licence. You’ll coordinate staff, plant, materials and suppliers, create orders in S4 Hanna and Coupa, manage

• Ability to work accurately within deadlines and take initiative.
• Proficient with standard PC packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Internet) and quickly learn NG tools (S4 Hanna/Maximo/Coupa).
• Logical thinker and collaborative within Refurb Centre teams.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with substation staff to coordinate refurbishment activities.
• Create orders for refurbishment OMGS using S4 Hanna and Coupa.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with procurement rules and procedures.
• Liaise with finance on PO queries.
• Maintain and sustain stock levels in the Refurb Centres.
• Rolling stock counts to ensure stock integrity.
• Liaise with 3PL partners to maintain stock position.
