Job summary

First Military Recruitment is working with a reputable client to recruit a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer. The role is field-based across England, with a salary of £50,000–£60,000 per annum and a company vehicle.

The candidate should have NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, F-Gas Category 1, a full UK driving licence, and strong fault-finding skills. You will work on various HVAC systems and contribute to high-quality customer service on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer.
• Relevant industry qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
• Good electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workload efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across commercial and residential sites.
• Fault-finding and diagnostics on a variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Working on split systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, cold rooms, CO2 refrigeration systems and air handling units.
• Ensuring all work complies with current health and safety requirements and F-Gas regulations.
• Completing job reports and service documentation accurately.
• Providing a high level of customer service and professionalism on-site.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Participating in an on-call rota, if required.
