Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to cover Hampshire and surrounding areas. You will install, service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across customer sites, working independently with strong fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems.

The position offers a varied field-based role with long-term career development, company vehicle, tools and uniform provided, and an on-call rota with standby payments.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering, ideally electrical.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.
• Strong fault-finding skills on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work independently.
• Flexible hours with on-call rota participation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and installations of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across sites.
• Work on chillers, cold rooms, CO2 systems and AHUs.
• Repair components including compressors, pumps and fans.
• Complete service reports and provide a professional service on site.

Job description

I am currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join my client covering Hampshire and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation offering a varied field-based role and long-term career development.

The successful Refrigeration Engineer will carry out installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across a range of customer sites.

You will be confident fault finding across both electrical and mechanical systems and comfortable working independently in a customer-facing environment.

Refrigeration Engineer Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs and installations.
• Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work on a range of equipment including chillers, cold rooms, CO2 refrigeration and air handling units.
• Repair and replace components including compressors, pumps, motors, fans, valves and controls.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations.
• Complete service reports and associated documentation.
• Provide a professional service when attending customer sites.

Refrigeration Engineer Requirements:

• Previous refrigeration and/or air conditioning engineering experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant engineering qualification., ideally electrical.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Flexible approach to working hours and occasional working away from home.
• Willing to participate in a 1 in 3 on-call rota.
