Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to join a well‑established refrigeration and process engineering company. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on cold rooms, freezers, and chillers across sites in the UK, including food production, bakery and brewery sectors.

Ideal candidates live along the M1 corridor and hold a Full UK driving licence and Fgas Cat 1 certification.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Fgas Cat 1 certification required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance on refrigeration systems (cold rooms, freezers, chillers).
• Service, fault finding and repair across food production sites nationwide.

Job Overview

Refrigeration Engineer required along the M1 Corridor (Ideally Bedfordshire or The Midlands region). Our client is a well‑established refrigeration and process engineering company with a reputation built on technical excellence and quality of delivery. They specialise in the design, installation, service and maintenance of all types of heavy commercial & light industrial refrigeration systems, specialising in the food production, bakery & brewery sectors.

Salary & Benefits

• Up to £48,000 Basic Salary DOE
• Door to Door travel paid
• 40 Hour working week
• Plenty of overtime available paid at 1.5x & 2x
• 1 in 6 on call rota - £200 retainer paid + overtime rates for call out
• OTE £60,000+

Position Overview

Planned and reactive maintenance, service, fault finding and repairs on Cold Rooms, Freezer Rooms, Air‑Cooled & Water‑Cooled Chillers. Visiting sites across food production, bakery & brewery sectors. Happy with travel to various sites across the UK.
