Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis in the Derbyshire/Staffordshire area. The role offers a base salary of £53,319 plus a £2,000 joining bonus and overtime opportunities.

You will be responsible for prioritising maintenance, completing PPM schedules, ensuring compliance paperwork, and carrying out surveys and reports. The role includes a 40-hour week with overtime, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, and provided tools and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years refrigeration experience on commercial refrigeration systems.
• Hydrocarbon training available.
• CO2 refrigeration training/certification available.
• IPAF 3a/b MEWPS training available.
• Electrical fault finding and wiring (18th edition) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales and response times.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Ensure PPM schedules are completed within timescales with proper paperwork.
• Maintain up-to-date technical and compliance paperwork.
• Order and fit parts or components per procedures.
• Carry out surveys and complete reports as required.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities - Refrigeration Engineer

• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
• Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
• To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
• To order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
• To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/ RFM.

Qualifications & Experience - Refrigeration Engineer

• Minimum 3-years refrigeration experience on commercial / refrigeration
• Hydrocarbon (Training will be provided)
• CO₂refrigeration training / certification(Training will be provided)
• IPAF 3a,b MEWPS training (Training will be provided)
• Electrical Fault Finding / Wiring Reg (18thEdition)

On Offer - Refrigeration Engineer

• OTE £60,000(based on typical engineer earningsover the last 12 months)
• 40hour working week, overtime payable for time over contracted hours
• Planned on-call rota 1 in 4weeks (hours of work paid in addition to standby payment)
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Travel time after ½ hour each way
• Van, fuel card, tools, uniform, IT equipment provided
