Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd in London and surrounding areas is seeking a Refrigeration Installation Engineer to install commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, connect equipment and pipework, and work from drawings and technical specs.

You will handle fault finding, commissioning support, and site documentation, with a 40-hour week, overtime, and shared call-out rota on mostly London-based work.

Qualifications

• Experience as Refrigeration Installation Engineer required.
• Strong commercial/industrial refrigeration installation experience.
• CO₂ refrigeration experience desirable.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
• Install and connect refrigeration equipment and pipework.
• Work with refrigeration packs and related systems.
• Carry out CO₂ refrigeration installation where experienced.
• Perform fault finding and provide commissioning support.
• Work from drawings and technical specifications.
• Complete installation and service documentation.
• Work safely and professionally on customer sites.
• Occasional call-outs as part of a shared rota.

The Role

• Installation of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
• Installation and connection of refrigeration equipment and pipework
• Working with refrigeration packs and associated systems
• CO₂ refrigeration installation where experienced
• Fault finding and commissioning support
• Working from drawings and technical specifications
• Completing installation and service documentation
• Working safely and professionally on customer sites
• Occasional call-outs as part of a shared rota

About You

• Previous experience as a Refrigeration Installation Engineer
• Strong commercial/industrial refrigeration installation experience
• Good understanding of refrigeration systems and installation methods
• CO₂ refrigeration and pack experience highly desirable
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good fault-finding and technical skills
• Relevant refrigeration qualifications
• Full UK driving licence

Package

• Around £23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• 40 hours per week
• Additional hours and overtime available
• Shared weekly call-out rota
• Travel time paid within reasonable limits
• 1.5x overtime between midnight-6am and Saturdays
• 2x overtime on Sundays and bank holidays
• Predominantly London-based work
