Job summary

BRC Jobs in Tolvaddon, Cornwall is seeking an organised Referral Coordinator to join a supported housing service for people fleeing domestic abuse. You will coordinate referrals, assess client needs, gather information, and support risk assessments to ensure timely support.

Based in the Tolvaddon office, you will liaise with referring agencies, professionals and the wider team, maintain records, and help move‑on and tenancy referrals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a coordination, referral, housing or support‑based role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
• Understanding of risk assessment and safeguarding.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple agencies and professionals.
• Strong IT and administrative skills.
• Full Enhanced DBS covering Adults and Children or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage referrals into the service.
• Liaise with referring agencies, professionals and partner organisations.

• Complete initial risk assessments and ensure information is shared appropriately.
• Coordinate placements and liaise with the team regarding accommodation availability.
• Maintain accurate referral records, case notes and databases.
• Ensure referrals are progressed in a timely and organised manner.
• Support the development and review of support plans where appropriate.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and elevate risks appropriately.
• Work closely with Support Workers to ensure a smooth transition into the service.
• Support residents and professionals with move‑on and tenancy‑related referrals where required.
• Manage competing priorities and maintain an organised workload.

Referral Coordinator – Supported Housing

Location: Tolvaddon, Cornwall

Salary: £15.34 per hour + Holiday pay = £17.19

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Temporary – 2 months

Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

Start: ASAP

We are looking for an organised and experienced Referral Coordinator to join a supported housing service working with people fleeing domestic abuse who may have complex support needs.

Based in our Tolvaddon office, you will be responsible for coordinating referrals into the service, working closely with professionals, partner agencies and the wider support team to ensure people are assessed and supported appropriately.

About you

You will ideally have experience in referrals, supported housing, homelessness, domestic abuse, housing, social care, safeguarding or community services.

You must have:
