Biffa is seeking a Contract Supervisor to oversee Somerset Recycling Centres, ensuring safe, efficient operations and adherence to client requirements. You will supervise site teams, manage resources and drive performance while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role combines hands-on site activity with administration, reporting and people management across contracted sites, with weekends and 37.5-hour weeks. Benefits include a company van and fuel card, plus employee discounts.

Qualifikationen

• Experience managing local authority contracts, ideally within recycling or waste management.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, environmental and transport legislation relevant to recycling centres.

Aufgaben

• Supervise day-to-day operations across Somerset Recycling Centres to ensure safety, efficiency and compliance.
• Lead, support and develop Site Managers, Operatives and agency staff; manage staffing and training.
• Ensure contract compliance with health & safety, permits, site plans and Biffa procedures.
• Plan resources, budgets and equipment to meet operational targets.
• Drive recycling performance and efficiency while ensuring safe handling and dispatch of materials.
• Coordinate maintenance with Facilities Management to keep plant and equipment compliant.
