Job summary

Biffa Ltd is recruiting an Operations Manager to lead supervisors and their teams in the depot’s recycling and waste collections and street cleansing operations. You will ensure safety, compliance, and consistent delivery of contracted KPIs while maintaining excellent customer service.

You will oversee training, staff development, and performance management, plus reporting to the Senior Business Manager on budget and operational targets. This role requires leadership in a unionised environment.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow Health and Safety policies and training.

Responsibilities

• Manage supervisors and teams to deliver depot recycling and waste services.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while meeting contract KPIs.
• Attend client meetings and deliver required reports on time.
• Work with Senior Business Manager to achieve financial targets.
• Ensure staff inductions and training are up-to-date.
