West Ham United Football Club is seeking a highly motivated and detail-driven Recruitment Support Analyst to join the First Team Recruitment Department. This role is integral to enhancing our scouting and recruitment operations by providing technical, analytical, and logistical support. It offers a unique opportunity to work within a Premier League environment and gain hands-on experience with the latest recruitment technologies, including AI and machine learning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Analysis & Editing
•Support scouts and analysts by cutting and tagging key match footage for individual player assessments.
•Use video platforms (e.g., Hudl, Wyscout) to create and organise playlists aligned with recruitment objectives.
•Prepare video content for recruitment meetings, presentations, and decision-making sessions.
Data & Insights
• Analyse player performance data and compile relevant scouting insights.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date scouting databases and player profiles.
•Produce summary reports and dashboards to support recruitment discussions.
AI & Machine Learning Integration
•Interpret outputs from AI tools to enhance scouting accuracy and player comparisons.
•Assist in fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) using internal datasets (e.g., match reports, tactical breakdowns).
•Contribute to the development of automated workflows and AI-driven reporting tools.
Operational & Administrative Support
•Coordinate scouting schedules, logistics, and travel for domestic and international assignments.
•Provide administrative assistance for recruitment events, meetings, and documentation.
•Track deadlines for reports, tasks, and recruitment deliverables.
Presentation & Material Preparation:
•Create visually engaging presentations to support player evaluations and recruitment decisions.
• Organise and prepare scouting materials (video, statistical summaries, and player reports).
•Ensure materials are accurate, relevant, and readily available for all recruitment stakeholders.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
•Liaise regularly with scouts, analysts, coaches, and recruitment staff.
•Support communication between First Team and Academy recruitment teams.
•Attend meetings to provide administrative support and action tracking.

Person Specification:
Qualifications & Experience;
•Previous experience in an analytical, operational, or administrative support role (Desirable).
•Understanding of football recruitment or player evaluation processes (Desirable).
•Experience using video analysis tools (e.g., Hudl, Wyscout) preferred – training available if needed.
•Exposure to AI/ML applications or interest in learning how they integrate into football recruitment (Desirable).
Skills & Abilities
•Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
•Strong video editing and tagging skills.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
•Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and presentations.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks, work to deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
•Interest or experience in working with LLMs, AI tools, or automated reporting systems.
