Job summary

Hoop Recruitment is seeking an entry-level Recruitment Partner to join our Nursing & Healthcare division in Cardiff. You’ll source, engage, and onboard nurses, support workers and healthcare assistants for roles with various clients while working in a dynamic team environment.

This team-based role combines candidate development, client outreach and interview coordination in a fast-paced setting. Hybrid working—3 days in the office and 2 days remote—supports work-life balance and early career

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and active listening.
  • Proficient in sourcing techniques including Boolean searches.
  • Ability to build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Experience evaluating CVs and conducting phone screenings.
  • Desirable degree-level qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: generate candidates, register and interview, advertise roles, source via job boards and LinkedIn, match candidates to roles, coordinate interviews, review applications.
  • Business Development: call potential clients, visit clients, promote services and secure placements.
  • Administration: ensure RTW checks, reference checks, use Vincere to manage data, hit weekly/monthly targets.
  • Customer Services: provide professional service, manage inquiries, maintain relationships with candidates and clients.

We are looking for an entry level graduate who wants to start their career in recruitment with a dynamic and supportive team in the heart of Cardiff. As a recruitment partner, you’ll support our Nursing & Healthcare division by sourcing, engaging, and onboarding nurses, support workers, and healthcare assistants for work with clients across a range of health and social care services.

Responsibilities and Duties
Recruitment
  • Candidate Generation: Utilising your communication and interviewing skills to register and interview candidates, ensuring a thorough understanding of their skills, experience, and career aspirations.
  • Candidate Registration: Contact and register potential candidates for new roles, conducting thorough interviews and assessments to match their skills and experience with suitable job opportunities.
  • Approaching candidates: Engage with active candidates on our database, keeping them informed about relevant job opportunities and assessing their suitability.
  • Job Advertising: Write and post basic job advertisements on various job boards, the Hoop website, and social media channels to attract qualified candidates.
  • Candidate Sourcing and Boolean Search: Employ advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean searches on job boards and LinkedIn, to source qualified candidates for specific roles.
  • Candidate-Job Matching: Utilise job specifications, candidate CVs and interview techniques to effectively match the right candidates with the appropriate roles, ensuring a strong fit.
  • Securing and Arranging Interviews: Efficiently coordinate and manage the process of securing and arranging interviews for candidates, ensuring smooth communication and scheduling between candidates and clients.
  • Application Review and Candidate Declining: Review CVs and applications submitted to your assigned roles, assessing suitability, and promptly declining unsuitable applicants.
Business Development
  • Business Development: Engage in proactive business development by calling potential clients, conducting thorough preparation and mapping prior to the calls.
  • Converting Clients: Proactively engage with new clients through calls, arrange and attend client visits, and effectively promote our services to secure job placements and shifts.
  • Client Visits: Attend client visits that you have arranged independently or accompany other team members to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Sector Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of your assigned sector, allowing you to engage in consultative conversations with candidates and clients and provide valuable insights.
  • Social Media Proficiency: Utilise LinkedIn and other social media platforms to post relevant content and engage with the target audience.
  • Basic Negotiation: Negotiate charge rates with clients, aiming for mutually beneficial agreements that meet business objectives
  • Professional Communication with Hiring Managers: Interact with hiring managers in a professional and effective manner, building strong working relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
Administration / processes
  • Compliance and Candidate Readiness: Ensuring candidates are prepared for work by completing and obtaining all required compliance documents, conducting Right to Work (RTW) checks, and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Reference Checking: Conduct thorough reference checks for candidates to verify their experience and suitability for specific roles.
  • Competent on Basics of Vincere Utilise our ATS recruitment system, Vincere, to add candidates, clients, and contacts effectively and perform searches within the database.
  • Target Achievement: Work towards individual weekly and monthly targets, for example: Right to Work (RTW) checks, perm placements, new temp workers, and CVs sent, while demonstrating a commitment to exceeding expectations.
Customer Services
  • Delivering Quality Customer Services: Providing professional and responsive customer service by answering and managing incoming calls, effectively managing expectations, and addressing inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Relationship Building: Foster professional relationships with candidates and clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Candidate Communication: Communicate relevant information to candidates, such as interview details, confirming their availability, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the recruitment process.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication for interacting with candidates, colleagues, and clients.
