Job summary

Change Grow Live in Bromley is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage service users, ensuring they access the right intervention at the right time, in a person-centred way.

You will build links with treatment services, manage referrals, support safeguarding, and contribute to learning and development within a friendly, supportive team. DBS enhanced check is required and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in similar roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good IT skills.
  • Proactive, able to work on own initiative with strong time management.
  • Driving licence is an advantage for home visit assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Engage service users with substance misuse, provide advice and recovery-focused interventions.
  • Complete personalised assessments for structured treatment access.
  • Liaise with clinical team to arrange nurse alcohol assessments when needed.
  • Coordinate with partner agencies to update on engagement.
  • Deliver harm reduction and brief intervention during triage.
  • Manage referral-In spreadsheet and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns during triage.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Recovery Coordinator in Bromley who has theskills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key

Where: Bromley

Hours: 30 per week

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Engage people who have substance misuse problems and provide them with advice, support and recovery focused interventions to support their access into treatment services
  • To complete personalised assessments with service users wishing to access structured treatment
  • To book nurse alcohol assessments with a member of the clinical team where the need has been identified. Where a clinical assessment is needed.
  • To liaise with partnership agencies who are referring service users to update with regards to engagement
  • To deliver robust harm reduction and brief intervention advice during the triage process
  • To be responsible for managing the referral-In spreadsheet ensuring this is kept up to date
  • To effectively manage any safeguarding concerns that may arise during the triage process

About you:

  • Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • To be flexible and able to work a late night on occasion .
  • There maybe a need conduct home visit assessments where access to services maybe difficult there for having a driving licence is of an advantage to the role.
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
