Job summary

Change Grow Live in the United Kingdom is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage service users, ensuring access to the right interventions. The role focuses on screening, recovery planning and advocacy within a structured programme at HMP Guys Marsh.

37.5 hours per week, permanent contract. The post emphasizes flexibility, listening, and collaboration with professionals to promote recovery and social reintegration.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with strong time management and prioritising skills.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions, services and best practice.
• Able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Adept at managing change with service users in mind.
• Committing to information governance safeguards and learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting service users from entry into the service and through their treatment journey.
• Screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm for service users and the community.
• Promoting involvement of carers, service users and the community.
• Advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Help service users achieve social reintegration and recovery goals.
• Design and prepare materials for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings at various recovery stages.
• Debriefing and evaluating with co-facilitators after groups.
• Tailor workshops to service users’ needs (e.g., anger management, sleep disorders).
