Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a pragmatic Recovery Coordinator for a busy Drug and Alcohol Service in Bolton. The role involves working with clients to break the cycle of addiction, creating personalised care plans and coordinating across the care pathway.

You will support OST clients, deliver harm reduction and alcohol therapy, and liaise with nurses and GPs. A strong background in recovery work and valid DBS are essential.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in support or recovery work.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and build tailored care plans focused on abstinence or harm reduction.
  • Support clients on Opiate Substitution Therapy (OST), tracking script compliance and liaising with prescribers.
  • Deliver harm reduction advice, needle exchange guidance, and Naloxone training.
  • Provide alcohol therapy support, relapse prevention, and 1-to-1 keyworking.
  • Coordinate BBV screening and Hepatitis C testing along the treatment pathway.
  • Collaborate with safeguarding and local health networks.

Recovery Coordinator - Drug and Alcohol Service

Location: Bolton


Pay: £20.00 - £23.00 p/h (depending on experience)


Contract: 3-6 months (with extension opportunities)


We're on the lookout for a practical, straight-talking Recovery Coordinator for a busy team in Bolton. You'll be helping people break the cycle of addiction and working with them to create realistic paths forward.


What you'll do:


  • Conduct assessments and build tailored care plans focused on abstinence or harm reduction.

  • Support clients on Opiate Substitution Therapy (OST), tracking script compliance and liaising closely with prescribing nurses and GPs.

  • Deliver harm reduction advice, needle exchange guidance, and life-saving Naloxone training.

  • Offer hands-on alcohol therapy support, relapse prevention work, and structured 1-to-1 keyworking.

  • Carry out Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening, coordinate Hepatitis C testing, and support clients through the treatment pathway to clearance.

  • Coordinate with local safeguarding and community health networks.


What you need:


  • Solid background in support or recovery work, enhanced DBS, and Right to Work.
