Job summary
Phoenix Futures at HMP Wayland is hiring a Substance misuse Practitioner to deliver psychosocial interventions, including 1-1 work and group sessions, within a busy Drug and Alcohol Team. You will train across service delivery and liaise with community agencies and other services to support clients.
The role involves working in a Recovery wing and engaging with clinical and community partners to help people progress on their recovery journeys.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in health and social care, ideally within substance use, mental health or similar fields.
- Evidence of effective partnership working and networking for client benefit.
- Experience managing a busy caseload or tasks with strong organisation.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and Word; familiarity with database systems.
Responsibilities
- Deliver psychosocial interventions as 1-1 work and provide a range of group work.
- Work within the Drug and Alcohol Team at HMP Wayland and collaborate with community agencies.
- Opportunity to train in all aspects of service delivery and participate in the Recovery wing programme.
- Visit other agencies, prison and community-based, to support clients.
